The Department of English in Arts & Commerce College, Satpur aims to impart quality education to students developing their language skills. The mother institution, Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Nashik considered the need of English for the socio-economically unprivileged students from industrial area and decided to start English as a special subject in this college. Therefore, the Department offers both compulsory English and English at special level. It strives to equip the students with the requisite language, literary knowledge and skills. With this, extra efforts are put to enhance the manners and etiquette of the students. Extra classes are engaged for the weaker students to make the class homogeneous.
